My favorite artists




Next, I will present to you two artists who are great references to me. They work (among other things) with the emotion of clothing, the textile element as a means that invites us to reflect, that is one of the things I admire most of these two women. The materialization of an idea, a story that is told with the exact elements and that can be understood for everyone.

Lucia Cuba, Peruvian designer.  of his works, my favorite is  "Article 6" project shows what happened in Peru between 1996 and 2000, during the presidency of Alberto Fujimori, regarding the public policies of the birth control programs, in which numerous womens were forced  to be sterilized in the central Andean zones of Peru.





Doris Salcedo is a Colombian artist, his works are based on evidencing the pain of the people who are broken by the absence of the loved one, the margins of the wound left by the one who is no longer there. For each pair of shoes, one person died.

An unexpected concert

I remember that in 2007 I was studying photography, it was a normal day I left the institue and I went to print some pictures for a job, I saw a poster in the street and I found out that there was a concert by Fito Paez at the theater Caupolican. As I was walking with my camera it occurred to me to go and try to enter by posing as a photojournalist. When I arrived, I took out my camera and went in with the journalists. Nobody realized that I did not have a credential. I enjoyed the concert so much that I became unaware of the time and when I realized it was very late, I ran out to take the locomotion and get to Estacion Central as fast as possible. What are you passionate about?

It's strange that I can not decide for just one thing that I'm passionate about, I could name at least five. In firstplace, I would say that my daughter is what I love and comforts me most in my life, talk to her and about her and when she's not at home, makes me feel empty. The second is my family. The moment when I return from any place and that the two most important people in my life are at home, is the best feeling in the world and in another way, have the place of my childhood that I can return whenever I want, give me tranquility and peace. The third thing is photography, it came to my life by accident and I think it will continue waiting until I can dare to take it up again. The fourth are the textile processes, which impress me more and more in terms of their complexity. Finally I could say that I am passionate about the idea of traveling and I think that I am getting closer in this passion.

English Language Challenges

The study of English has always been difficult for me. This is because at school I did not have this branch and I have never had much closeness to the language. In the university it has been complicated, mainly because of the schedule and also because I have not dedicated the time that I should,and I forget to study every day. Although blogs have been a good way to express myself in this language. I am sure that I must improve in many aspects, organize myself and dedicate some minutes of the day to review. Downloading an application would also allow me to review the basics, and learn what I do not know. I am very aware that learning English is very necessary, because as I have said before, my dream is to study abroad and for all applications to English Learners it is required to know English.
