A favorite photo of me






This photo is very special to me and it is my favorite, because it is the moment in which I start to enjoy my daughter. It is a self-portrait of 2010 made in my house, which is the place that where I feel most comfortable in the world. My daughter Emilia was 5 months old and it was the moment when I was really happy. In that photographs I felt more calm and secure, the difficult days had passed, the fear of everything, the nights of being awake to watch over her sleep, the crying without explanation and also the summer was approaching. Since Emilia was born te summer became my favorite season. I think that this image shows me the moment when I assume myself as a mom and I feel much better with this new role in my life.

We are together and I look at her, as I do since she was born, I appreciate her special way of being. It makes me very nostalgic to see this image because it reminds me of how much my life has changed since my daughter was born, everything that she has caused in all aspects of my life.
In this moment of my life,  and with my eight years old's daughter, I am sure that she has become the perfect companion, every day she has fantastic conversations that remind me of my own childhood.

An unexpected concert

I remember that in 2007 I was studying photography, it was a normal day I left the institue and I went to print some pictures for a job, I saw a poster in the street and I found out that there was a concert by Fito Paez at the theater Caupolican. As I was walking with my camera it occurred to me to go and try to enter by posing as a photojournalist. When I arrived, I took out my camera and went in with the journalists. Nobody realized that I did not have a credential. I enjoyed the concert so much that I became unaware of the time and when I realized it was very late, I ran out to take the locomotion and get to Estacion Central as fast as possible. When I arrived at the station, the last bus was already gone, so I got on the bus to take me as close as possible to Melipilla. What are you passionate about?

It's strange that I can not decide for just one thing that I'm passionate about, I could name at least five. In firstplace, I would say that my daughter is what I love and comforts me most in my life, talk to her and about her and when she's not at home, makes me feel empty. The second is my family. The moment when I return from any place and that the two most important people in my life are at home, is the best feeling in the world and in another way, have the place of my childhood that I can return whenever I want, give me tranquility and peace. The third thing is photography, it came to my life by accident and I think it will continue waiting until I can dare to take it up again. The fourth are the textile processes, which impress me more and more in terms of their complexity. Finally I could say that I am passionate about the idea of traveling and I think that I am getting closer in this passion.

English Language Challenges

The study of English has always been difficult for me. This is because at school I did not have this branch and I have never had much closeness to the language. In the university it has been complicated, mainly because of the schedule and also because I have not dedicated the time that I should,and I forget to study every day. Although blogs have been a good way to express myself in this language. I am sure that I must improve in many aspects, organize myself and dedicate some minutes of the day to review. Downloading an application would also allow me to review the basics, and learn what I do not know. I am very aware that learning English is very necessary, because as I have said before, my dream is to study abroad and for all applications to English Learners it is required to know English.
